Military Grade Outdoor Gear

Two modern businesses that predate the Internet have sites and offer a broad selection of outdoor gear are Brigade Quartermaster and U.S. Cavalry.

Over 30 years ago Brigade Quartermaster began as a small business from a farm in Powder Springs Georgia selling one product, the Woolly Pully sweater. It began with one product and a desire to provide the best outdoor gear and clothing to individuals and professionals around the world. Today, it offers more than 25,000 products from a 50,000 square foot warehouse and mails over 1,000,000 catalogs each year.
  • In our 30 years of service, we have provided military, professional and outdoor gear and clothing to consumers, resale, government, and institutional customer segments through retail, direct mail (catalog), e-commerce, AAFES, and contract sales.

U. S. Cavalry's first retail store outside Ft. Knox, Kentucky, was the first military supplier to focus on outfitting the individual soldier. Surplus stores were just about everywhere, but only U.S. Cavalry focused on new equipment and customized services. it featured on-site computerized embroidery in an era when even many banks were not yet computerized.

That first store was quickly followed by mail order catalogs to serve customers as they were deployed around the globe. Wherever fighting men and women were stationed, catalogs soon followed. In fact, many of today’s U.S. Cavalry staff have fond childhood memories of perusing the kiddie t-shirts, ceremonial sabers and scale-model kits featured in our early editions.
