Search My Notes

There are many pages of posts on many subjects, and only a few show on this main page. Search for the subjects that you are interested in.

Topics covered in here tend toward Gadgetry, Weapons, Books, Tools, and a lot of other things that have captured my interest.

Please note the "Linked From Here" tab on the results, which lists search results from sites I have linked to in my posts.

The Internet Craftsmanship Museum

Joe Martin, the owner of Sherline Lathes and maker of machine tools, started a foundation in 1997 to encourage excellence in craftsmanship with emphasis on metalworking projects at the small end of the size scale. One of the results is this online museum of miniatures.

This is not the kind of dusty old museum you walk into and wander around... The goal here is to collect and present information about craftsmen from around the world and the projects they build, to not just show the projects themselves, but to present everything about the builder and the project. What is featured here is craftsmanship in many forms. This site is a collection of the work of many craftsmen and contributors giving freely of their time and expertise.

The "Art" of great craftsmanship

"A person who works with his hands is a laborer.

A person who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman.

A person who works with his hands, his brain and his heart is an artist"

—Louis Nizer
